About Jay Leathal Beats

I represent a hungry Producer, who loves to make music. I have been producing since I was in high school. I have always been around hip hop most of my life, being that my father was a rapper. Going by the Moniker Lieutenant General Field Ni**a, later changing to Mustash Peat. I started producing to make something good enough for him to rap on. The reaction he gave me let me know this is something i was destined to do.

My love for production grew much earlier than that. I remember hearing Dr. Dre for the first time and the beat blew my mind. The song was called Keep their Heads Ringing. This and many other records over the years have influenced me.

I was born in May 7th, 1987 in Fort Wayne IN. Most of my life we moved a lot, at lease 2 times a year for a long as I can remember. No my father was not in the military if thats what your thinking. I grew up around a family of hustlers and go getters. This lifestyle helped us maintain a life of dysfunction. Something I attribute to the reason I am strong and resilient to this day. Being around this lifestyle allowed me to see the life I did not want to live. I have accomplished many goals in my life despite my foundation.

I am the first person in my family to graduate from high school and College. The first to break the family cycles of prison and babies without a solid family foundation. WIth all that said I am a father first and a man of God. These things allow me to be humble and maintain my sanity.

I still never loss the love for production music. I work with many artist and try to help anyone I can along the way. I love what we do and would do it for free if I had to. I love to work with new talent and look forward working with the next person to help them along their way.

I own a production company, co founded by myself and my Artist Slink Proper. He is a childhood friend that shares the same vision and love for making music. We release dope projects often. Also own a music group recently established called Scend Sound, designed for music creatives who want to Transcend Sound with a community approach.

I am most proud of the family I have created with my Wife Monique Allen and my children, Kalea, Jalaiya and Malani Allen. God has blessed me well. #girldad
